Ok, something occured to me today, and I want to post
my thoughts about it.
There used to be this really great mud, people were
nice to eachother, people went out of their way for others
that they didn't even know, this mud was called, "LegendMUD".
I'm not sure when it happened, or even why, but it has changed,
from one extreme to the other. I'll give a very good example
of what I mean:
I remember a time, in the past, where two pk'ers would fight.
They fought to the death, using various tactics and
stratagies. Then, after that fight, they would find a mutual place
to sit and discuss the fight, what the other could have done to change
the outcome, etc. This is one reason I always loved pkill back then.
I've noted that people still do this, but only with people
they know well, and even then, only with people in the same "class"
For example, take me, I consider myself an average pkiller, nothing
more, and nothing less. Does this mean that if I die to a more
talented player, hat that person should stick his nose in the air
when I try to talk about the fight with him, refusing to do anything
but shrug to my questions?
I'm usually pretty outraged by this, it angers me to no
end that another player puts himself on a pedestal, and refuses to simply
help someone whether they know them or not.
I'm not asking any of you to tell me secrets, bugs that might be
abused in order to win, or anything of that sort. I'm only
asking you to read what I've posted, and admit to yourselves that
this is a part of the Legend community that once made it stand
above all other muds. Think about it, it's all but gone now.

Okay back then i was a newbie pkiller without a shadow of a doubt
and i was more of a group fighter but back then group fights were
more prevalent. when i died back in the days of morphine, kuato, terrizano,
etc... i never got looted or anything or people didnt hold a grudge
today, i have found myself in situations where pk is the only way
to end most arguements. People go to great extremes to get that mighty
info. Why though? It really isn't worth it. oh well thats my views.

As far as I recall, such a past never existed. I started pk when
there was Agyar, Kahn, Tao, Quetzalcoatl, Jag, Lori, Sharpe...
Gnat, Gail... Daavya... and it wasn't any better or worse than it is
now. There still are ppl you can fight/jump and shake hands afterwards,
and then there are ppl like ---- and ------ who you just can't get
along with even if you had grouped with them. Stop dwelling on a
past that never existed.

Speaking of politeness, I personally feels
that if a player answers one of your questions on chat
It's only polite to say a simple thanks even though
that person might just be a newbie, some of the players
here simply look down on others who are lowlvl, doesnt have tons
of whoises or have the title, the newbie, I myself
never help "said person" again no matter which form I'm
in if he's rude to others
well. just my opinion

"Never again" is rather harsh, particularly on true newbies
who could be so overwhelmed by the sheer amount of spam and
the game itself that they might forget to say thanks. I've
helped a lot of newbies (quit snickering. you know I have)
and I'd have to say that any of the true ones who might have
forgot to say thank you still appreciated the help they were
