As long as we are discussing the problems of the fight system,
i figured i would share a few of my ideas, and since i suck at
writing, gimme a break when i look like a moron :)
Headbutt vs Stun:
yes i will have to agree that con fighter 'can' and 'do' spam
headbutt enemy, at no cost. Yet a mage cannot spam, because they
lose mana in doing so. But can i ask you when the last time is
you saw a 5 round headbutt? Its never happened. If i get a dazing
headbutt, i get 2 rounds max. I think it evens out.
Length of fights:
I have to agree with Poetry on this one, fights are WAY too short
I think that we need to raise the hps gained at level. For example
a 100 con level 50 char with no +hp items should get 650 hps.
I guess you would have to do the same with mana, to even it out...
but these fights are not lasting long enough... something needs to be done

Just out of curiosity...how often DO you get wfw'd for 5 rounds
zaba? I've NEVER in 50 million xp worth of mobkill and countless pk
fights wfw'd 5 rounds. Not once. I gets mostly 2's, sometimes 3's,
very rarely 4's. A wfw for me is usually a stagger headbutt that costs
35 mana and you can't spam.

For starters, I think it's idiotic trying to compare stun and
headbutt. How on earth do you think you should balance these two
things? At least you can spam stun without losing mana, tho i think
you still get skill lagged a bit... if you don't write in the name
of the target, that is. But even then you can just spam kill soandso
command separate stun for the same effect, who cares, you can spam
stun if you really wanted to.
As far as length, damage.. etc go... Which two chars can you think of
that'll be fair in comparing stun vs headbutt? A headbutter will most
likely come out on top cuz they'll likely have more hps as well as
being able to land headbutts, whereas a stunner won't have that hp
edge. And of course headbutt will be safer than stun in most cases,
since worst you can do is fall on yer butt or double stagger, whereas
with stuns you can surge, fail, and if you tried it against near-mind
Headbutt only looks powerful imho cuz it rips up ppl that don't
tank. Max wimpy against a headbutter is really suicide thanks to the
silly priority system (unless you adjust your agg)... but it's also
darn silly walking into the room when you know the guy is just spamming
headbutt. It's like walking into a room against a guy who has ring of
fire on him... go invis, or just hide, wait for the guy to quit spamming.
And there is the stagger/daze vs wfw. Wfws always last longer. I've neve
seen a daze get past 2 rounds. Wfws, at LEAST last 2 rounds, just about.
Most of the time they'll last long enough for you to skill/spell before
or just as they wake up.

Onna my pkillers mananged to wfw Semper for 5 rounds. Never saw that ever
again and somehow wfws from her were very rare even on fighter types, but
it does happen and it's darn scary. That wfw basically ended the fight. I'
am not at all sure I like it that that can happen at all.
But as to the usual duration of a wfw, from what I've seen its as
(too lazy to switch to pkiller okay?) -sulk-

I've killed someone with 550 hps without losing 1 hp with the
current wfw.. It can be worse than para backstabs. -shrug-
