Ok, suggestion for/to the wimpy change that has just gone in.
What about implementing a bind type spell for 3C create mages, remove inspire
from 3C mages totally, and give it to druid and surgeons only. This
will balance 3C creates alittle more, it will still give them the
ability to do what they do and it will give other classes the change to
CHANCE, to get away before they get caught.

First of all, incite should be removed completely. Think of this...
Character A is fighting Character B.
A incites B, preventing B from fleeing the fight.
B is clever, B can calm. However, B can't flee with skill lag.
A incites B again before B's skill lag clears and B can flee.
Eventually, B dies.
With wimpy gone, there's no way for someone to free themselves from
the effect of incite without help.
Secondly, creates don't need anything like bind. If creates want
to trap an opponent, they can use walls. Sure, you can defeat them
with detect illusion, but that's game balance. Besides, you can
dispel magic on your opponent and they'll be vulnerable to your

Skar has a great point, furthering my disgust
with this change. Incite really does
need to be removed. dex had a hard enough time
getting away before this change.
And as for walls, snipers (the ones who rely on wimpy)
can't cast detect illusion anyway.
Seems to be just one more way they're screwed.
I guess having a dex char will instantly mean
you have to have high con to be able to
fight against con or str. Otherwise we'll just go die.

remove incite, make dispel do everything at once,
so i dont remove someones sink just to watch them run with det illusion
and sink them selfs again, seems like a waste

hmm either way i'm screwed...
since EVERYONE thinks incite is over powered, instead of
remove it, (its a handy skill in runs), why not swap the
skill lags over, so 2 round lag for incite, 1 round lag
for calm. Wouldn't that solve the problem of the dexie
not being able to flee after he calms.

incite wasn't really all that over powered in the first place
and if you removed it that'd gimp a create against anything that casts
and ryadin, shut up, your one of the freaks who wanted it in the first place
ce, so take your 2 cents and shove them the same place you got this

let this change go down in the change along the lines of most changes
this one rates up there with PKOK and hit/dam changes and the hell removal
good job, lets see how much more of this pathetic player base we can manage

I still don't understand the reason behind the change.
I thought I did, but then when I re-read the LT note from
Kaige, it make me wonder. Here is a quote..
"Holding everyone accountable to that same rule
is the main reason behind the change and affects
both mobkill and pkilll"...
I assume she mean everyone as in mobs and pcs?
If so, how come mobs don't follow other rules pcs
were held to? For example, a mob that can augment self during
fight while pcs can't do the same.
If Kaige, or someone can help me understand why this
wimpy change was imp in the first place, beside
the obvious of destroying the dexie type class.
Legend has used to have alot of varieties. It was interesting
what you can mix up. But now, it seem to me, that spark of
life got destroy. It is over...

Firstly, they say i was not the only one to suggest this change.
Personly I don't care too much, it just means a little more care
on my behalf at low hp. But I do understand how upset you are.
Hell if they just reduced caps from 100 or what ever they are
currently, to say 50 so anyone can cap, then most of my chars
would be dead meat.
As I said, I did not want this change, but lag after. (is
getting fed up with repeating himself). Because of this change
I have died a few times, but thats not unexpected. Not as many
as alot of you, but then I do not soley rely on fleeing. Do not
think that just because someone isn't dex it does not effect them.
The only people I can think of that it does not effect, are people
that will rage regardless, or people with like 12 dex, so they cant
flee even if they could.
With that said, the change was implemented, for better or for worse
we are yet to know. But perhaps the imms could up the dam on guns
to give snipers some of the edge back. ie make a sniper snipe. Do
diddly damage hand to hand, but KILL things with guns?
probably want bigger shoot lag depending on the dam upgrade.
From: why would I care? I never play dex chars. So really all this
change does is benifit me, espicially in PK, so dont ask me why i'm
more on the side that this is a bad change.

I totally agree with skar, well actually 3 rounds on inspire and 1 or 2
on calm would do me fine but really if a create wants to trap someone,
jump them in a one exit room otherwise jump them wherever and be prepared
to blow alot of mana, I think thats pretty damned fair. I mean sure cause
has bind, but walls cant be sunk and walls cant backlash and trap you.
Instead of a free skill that almost completely traps the opponant(there
still is self stagger headbutts, with charmies hitting you ya wake
up right away and can flee, but who could count on one of those? :P) it
should take alot of effort and mana to make it so someone has virtually
no chance of winning. No other classes can do this so why should creates
and to a lesser extent cause mages too I guess, be able to do this for free?
free? As for dispel removing everything...maybe what dispel removes could
be based off the casters mind? A 100 mind create sure, pop my sink and
half of my 6 preps, you deserve it. But a sniper with a dipped quiver?
Stay as it is, two arrows if you wanna screw my preps...(notice I didn't
say arrows should go off at mind value like scrolls, so snipers dont accuse
accuse me of trying to screw you up anymore than you are already :P)
Anyways mainly I dont care what, but incite needs to change.
