Rising out of the vast shifting deserts of the Arabian Peninsula, the city of Agrabah is a sprawling center for trade, the arts, and government. The royal palaces of Sultan Shahzenan dominate the horizon. Below them, the sand colored building fan out, their brightly colored fabric awnings waving softly in the desert wind. Merchants carry wares from many distant destinations. Street performers fill the public spaces, juggling and dancing and entertaining the crowds of onlookers.
Agrabah also has a much darker side. Thieves and pickpockets prowl the streets and back alleys, searching for weak or wealthy targets. Dark, smoke-filled dens are home to magical items and mystical powers. Evil forces move behind the scenes in a desperate grab for power...
Agrabah is an Arabian city in the time of Aladdin, the time of Ali Baba.
Agrabah is first and foremost the starting point for potential magicians and wizards. Magic users
from Agrabah will have all three levels of spell words available to them. Those planning to walk this
path should be prepared to devote themselves to developing their mind first and foremost, but not
neglecting any of the other aspects of their being.
Existing in the Ancient Era, like Tara, people from Agrabah will find guns and rifles beyond their
abilities, as well as more modernized medical procedures. Herbalism has only -just- been introduced
here, and some herbs are available in the city's shops... but druids from Agrabah are unheard of.

back to topRoom description: A young man is here lost in thought.
Aladdin looks like most of the lower class citizens that inhabit Agrabah... however there's something about his looks or the way he acts that suggestions nobility.
Room description: A man stands here wearing robes covered with strange symbols.
This rather unpleasant looking fellow is the court of Agrabah's royal magician. He's almost always found on the second floor of the palace, practicing spells and brooding in his dismal study. He certainly does not appear to be a person you would want as an enemy!
Room description: The young man stands here, dressed in all kinds of finery.
This is the crowned prince of the city of Agrabah and the lands surrounding it. He's pleasant enough, and can be found lounging in the main chambers of the palace.
Room description: The Captain of the Guard stands here looking menacing.
This is the leader of the Prince's royal guard. Of course he's well versed in many fighting techniques. He spends most of his time in service of his prince: guarding t he palace and tracking down thieves and other criminals.
Room description: Sabiha is here, rubbing her hands together, limbering them up. Yusuf, the barber, is here, waiting to serve.
Sabiha and Yusuf are Agrabah's massage attendant and barber respectively. They keep the inhabitants of Agrabah clean and well manicured.

Agrabah offers many of the skills you will find helpful when just starting off. Below is a list of important skills for starters and people to look to for guidance for these skills. Not all of these skills may be available to you, as they are all based on a different set of pre-requisites. To see what is available to you, type allskills.

Below is the start of one of the many quests available in the city of Agrabah:
Sabiha, the city's massage attendant works just off of the palace square. If you look at her, you will see this:
"Her hands bear evidence of a long habit of being rubbed with pomegranate peel to harden them and give them a pleasant scent."
If you sit long enough in her room, you'll hear her complain about not having any more pomegranates for her hands. Maybe you could help her? Ask her if she needs any help (ask Sabiha help) The pomegranate she requests is available for sale in Agrabah somewhere... maybe a little exploring will reveal it's location? The rest is up to you!
back to topThis is virtually identical to the hometown map you were given when you created your character. It has the layout of the city's streets, as well as the locations of many of the shops and important buildings noted.
Agrabah Area MapThis map shows the immediate surroundings of your hometown. Individual rooms are not marked: This is only a general guide to help orient yourself as you begin to explore outside the safety of Agrabah. Some points of caution are marked, so be careful when exploring around those points!
Ancient Era MapThis is the 'Ancient Era', as represented currently in LegendMud. The colored areas are areas that currently are included in the MUD. Red lines are used to indicate regularly used paths of travel (they are not necessarily the ONLY paths one can take). Each of the colored rings indicates a separately defined area in the Ancient Era. A list of these can be viewed in-game by typing 'AREAS'.
