Gonzales Strategy

I started the game by running directly to lotus eater and grabbing about 4 flies. I hit most xp rooms on the mud that I could actually reach, and did some stat quests (not dex/con). I did the romania quests for a shield, philippines quest for a gold watch, puritan quest for red tunic and knight's crest, ottoman quest, and got winged cap from stat quest. Romania quests also gave me some good AC gear for the slots I was missing (gear from enlisting).

Quests and xp rooms got me to lvl 20ish. I then went to sumer to kill citizens and turn in their jewelry for XP. This got me to lvl 25.

As soon as I hit lvl 25 I got rudh and mahi. I still needed some mind to be able to sleep mobs, so I had to fight some mobs the hard way to get some good gear. I killed mobs for the silver and turquoise ring, cozactl, visage of bunyip, watch with a silver band, turquoise belt.

At this point the zombie finally respawned so I could learn kala and get 10 mind from brainpower. I also did my amulet and longhouse quests for 15 more mind.

At this point I had 100 mind and could sleep meteor my way to 50.

I hit the following mobs repeatedly until I got to level 50: - blue whales (carthage, philippines) - Hanno, leader (in carthage) - battle-ready guards (sumer) - black panthers (seven heavens, needed see invis) - dhurtah (india) - American Seamen, followers of Aglipay, those bolo wielding dudes near agta, pirates near the blue whale (all in philippines) - elephant, python (savannah) - Baha, Majd, Philip, Fatima (Crusades, sometimes: baha/majd/fatima spawn with varied hp and can spawn with more than 450hp) - baleful monks (BT, Japan)

I can't remember if there were more mobs I hit, but that's the gist of it.

I hit these til lvl 49.5, then I realized I could reach the other xp rooms I missed and hit those for 50.
